1. What is the difference between Pigment red and Dye red?
The fundamental difference between pigment red and dyes red is that dyes can be dissolved in the dyeing medium used, while organic pigment red is neither soluble in the medium in which they are used nor in the substrate to be colored.
The output of organic pigment red accounts for about a quarter of the total output of dyes.
