Molecular Structure:
Character: Flashing brown powder. Slightly solves in water and appears blue when solves in hot water. Easily solves in ethanol and appears blue. Appears yellow with brown tone in concentrated sulfuric acid and appears yellow with red tone after attenuated. Appears olive green in concentrated nitric acid. Appears reddish brown when add sodium hydroxide into aqueous solution. On dyeing cotton appears brown yellow when drop 10% sulfuric acid; appears reddish yellow when drop 10% sodium hydroxide; appears reddish yellow when drop acid tin dichloride solution.
Use: Mainly be used in dyeing silk, wool, mordant dyed cotton by tannin; also be used in making ball pen ink, carbon paper, wax paper, dyeing bamboo and wood; and be used in making lake pigment and solvent dyes.
